H. Reese Taylor
Vice President of Operations

Reese was born in Lubbock, Texas and a graduate of Smyer High School, and attended South Plains College on a livestock judging scholarship. In 2006 he enlisted in the United States Army, being stationed at Fort Lewis, Washington after basic training at Fort Benning, Georgia. He served our country for 6 years, with one tour in Afghanistan as an infantryman, assigned to a Stryker Brigade. After returning from his tour of duty, in the summer of 2012, Reese made the decision to move to the Texas Hill Country and pursue a career in the Funeral Profession as a valued member of the KFH Team. Having obtained his Certificate as a Certified Crematory Operator, he then graduated from Dallas Institute of Funeral Service, Dallas, TX in November of 2014 and became a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the State of Texas after successfully negotiating the exams of the International Conference of Examining Boards.

In August of 2015, Reese married Amanda Evans Taylor, whom he met while residing in Dallas. They now make their home Kerrville, TX where Amanda is also a Funeral Director with the family business. Cooper Reese Taylor, the “mini” Reese, is his pride and joy, and the reason he works hard every day to be a father that his son can be proud of. Reese enjoys golfing, hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He is also a loyal fan of the Texas Tech Red Raiders," Guns Up!"

Reese is a member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, the Cremation Association of North America, the Hill Country Funeral Directors Association, and the Funeral Ethics Association, along with membership in Kerrville Area Chamber of Commerce, and the West Kerr Chamber of Commerce, Junction Chamber of Commerce, and the Levelland Chamber of Commerce.
Reese is very thankful for the opportunities life has dealt his way. He is very pleased to be a part of the Team for Kerrville, Kimble, and Krestridge Funeral Homes, and looks forward to having a long and fulfilling career helping families in the area that we serve.

Scott Rankin
Operations Manager

Scott has always been proud of his hometown of Levelland. Little did he know that twenty-three years after leaving for college, the door would be opened for him to return to serve the people of Levelland and the surrounding area through Krestridge Funeral Home.

Serving others has been a life-long calling and passion for Scott. Prior to his time in the funeral profession, Scott served in youth and music ministry positions throughout the panhandle of Texas. He and his family served in churches in Levelland, Borger, Sunray and Pampa. In 2005, while serving at First Baptist Church in Pampa, Scott was befriended by the staff of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors. Through a lot of prayer, he and his family felt this was the direction God was leading them.

In August of 2006, Scott made the career change and joined the staff of Carmichael-Whatley. He graduated from Amarillo College with a degree in Mortuary Science and became a licensed funeral director and embalmer. After four years at Carmichael-Whatley, Scott was presented the opportunity to teach for the Mortuary Science Department at Amarillo College in August of 2010. The following summer he was promoted to Program Director, where he passionately guided students in their pursuit to become future funeral directors and embalmers for the next five years. In January of 2016, he joined the staff of Schooler and Angel Funeral Homes in Amarillo and was named the Managing Partner for both locations in November of 2016. Scott would later go on to accept the position of Select Producer for Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company in the Lubbock area in the spring of 2018. That summer, he would be approached about becoming the Operations Manager and Funeral Director for Krestridge Funeral Home in his hometown of Levelland. So, twenty-three years after leaving for college, on September 1, 2018, Scott will return home to proudly begin serving the community he has always loved.

Scott currently serves as a board member of the Panhandle Funeral Directors Association, as well as serving on the education committee of the Texas Funeral Directors Association. Previously, he served as Secretary/Treasurer (2010-2011), Vice-President (2011-2012) and President (2012-2013) of the PFDA. He served on the TFDA Board of Directors from 2011-2013. Scott was honored by the PFDA as the Funeral Director of the Year for 2014-2015.
Scott earned an associate degree from both South Plains College and Amarillo College. He received his bachelor degree from West Texas A&M University and has completed his course work for his Master of Education in Instructional Design and Technology through WTAMU as well.

Currently, Scott is a member of the Texas Funeral Directors Association, National Funeral Directors Association, the Cremation Association of North America, the Panhandle Funeral Directors Association, the Hill Country Funeral Directors Association, the Funeral Ethics Association, the Levelland Noon Lions Club, and the Levelland Chamber of Commerce.

When he isn’t working, Scott stays busy with his family and following his kids through their activities. Their two younger daughters are still in high school. Allie is a junior and Kloie is a sophomore. Erin, their oldest daughter recently moved to Salem, Oregon. Brandi, Scott’s wife, is beginning her first year as an elementary principal.
