William Cox

William Henry "Wimp" Cox, 86, of Levelland passed from this life, on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 in Levelland.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Sunday, November 8, 2020, at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will held at 10:00 AM on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the City Of Levelland Cemetery.

He was born on October 29, 1934 in Bomarton, Texas to Tommie B. Cox and Callie Leona Hartline Cox.  Wimp was a farmer for 27 years.  He worked in the oilfield as a grader operator until his retirement in 2007.

Wimp was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, H.L. "Slim" Cox, Raymond Cox. Melvin Cox, Tommie Dale Cox and James Wilbourne Cox.

He is survived by his wife, Janis Cox of Levelland; sons, W.H. "Billy" Cox, Jr. of Marble Falls, John Cox, Steven Cox and Benjamin and wife Shouna Cox all of Levelland; sister, Nina Bartley of Andrews; grandchildren, T.J. Cox, of Marble Falls, Callie Reeves of Sweeterwater, Amanda Chacon of Lubbock, Travis Bratton of Lubbock, Michaela Espino of Lubbock, Mackenzie Cox of Lubbock,  Melanie Cox of Lubbock, Caitlynn Cox of Levelland, Kade Cox of Levelland and 12 great grandchildren.
