Victoria Hill

Victoria Hill

Victoria Lee (Castillo) Hill was born October 3, 1979, to Richard and Clelia Castillo, in Lubbock, TX. She walked into Heaven into Jesus’ arms December 12, 2020.  Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at Krestridge Funeral Home.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, December 18, 2020, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Sundown Cemetery.

Victoria was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Ricardo (Apa) and Consuelo (Ama) Castillo, and maternal grandmother Petra (Mom) DeLeon Salazar, niece Kaelyn Rose, her first beloved baby Chloe Grace.

Vicki is survived by her beloved husband Logan Dale of Sundown, her babies Khymira Grace and Kayton Richard, parents Richard and Clelia Castillo of Sundown, siblings Lupe (Deana) Salazar of Sundown, Patricia Castillo of Lubbock, Deborah (Max) McGlasson of Sundown, Angelica (Jonelle) Castillo of Amarillo, her precious nephews and nieces Zack, Josh, Russell, Kysiah, Kaori, Alyzah, Mathayus, Avyian, fur nephew Buster, and fur niece Prinny.

Vic graduated from Sundown ISD where she earned numerous honors as a basketball post player for the Roughettes and received her teaching degree from ENMU, Portales, NM. She was a red-shirt freshman in basketball at ENMU. She served as an RA and took her position as the “mommy” to her residents. She helped her residents make the transition to college with her nurturing, guiding, disciplined personality. She did her student teaching at Morton ISD, which proved to be extremely rewarding as she championed her students to strive for excellence in all things. She later worked at Sundown ISD in the alternative instructional setting for students who needed extra guidance and loving discipline. She worked for Sundown Golf Course, where she met Logan, before moving to Lubbock with her love of her life and husband Logan. She worked at Doodle Bug Child Care Center as a PK teacher for several years before moving back to Sundown to raise her children as Roughnecks and Roughettes, who she truly is.

Vic (with Logan’s support and love) chose to be a stay-at-home mommy to Khymira and Kayton who were her biggest surprise blessings because she was given no chance to ever have children because of health issues. She was an exceptional basketball player and a gifted softball player from an early age. She coached Mini-Dribblers for many years. She loved children, loved to read, loved music, was an avid movie watcher who could remember so much dialogue, was very creative, and loved making hairbows.

Thank you with heartfelt gratitude from our family to Krestridge for your love and care for our beloved Victoria and us, through this difficult journey, and to Dr. Bailey and staff at Covenant Hospital for your loving care for Vic.
