Timothy Stephens

Forty year Levelland resident, Timothy J. Stephens, age 68, went home to his Lord after a short illness on July 11, 2019 at Covenant Hospital in Lubbock, TX. He was the devoted loving son of Carrie D. Stephens of Lovington, NM and Jack L. Stephens, who preceded him death in 1988. He was the beloved brother to Carrie Lutz, Dava Stephens and Paula Elaine Stephens and is survived by nephews Kenneth Lutz and Stephen Lutz as well as numerous cousins. Tim was a graduate of Lovington High School, NM, New Mexico Junior College and South Plains College in Levelland, TX where he achieved the honor of making the Dean's list. After graduating he worked as a draftsman, auto mechanic, and oil services roustabout, but his major service work was performed for the Mobil Oil Company for almost twenty years. He retired from Mobil in 1997. Tim was a good neighbor to many and volunteered many hours helping numerous organizations and people during his life, including nearly nine years volunteering at the Covenant Hospital in Levelland, TX.

A Memorial Service for Timothy is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at the Krestridge Funeral Home, 505 Austin St., Levelland, TX. A reception will follow.
