Thelma Popejoy

Thelma Arlene Popejoy, 89, passed from this life on January 18, 2018 in Flower Mound, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 23, 2018, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Sundown Cemetery.

Arlene was born September 18, 1928. She graduated from Sundown High School in 1946. Arlene married Turner Popejoy on October 18, 1947.

She worked for both Lyntegar Electric and US Postal Service, and kept books for several local businesses including the family business. She was a member of Sundown Church of Christ.

After retirement, Arlene enjoyed traveling, sporting events, watching classic movies, and spending time with family and friends.

Arlene was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Turner Popejoy.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Popejoy and wife Cynthia of Sundown; daughters, Kathy Popejoy of Wolfforth and Lana Brehm and husband Wayne of Flower Mound; 8 grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.
