Tharon Eugene Campbell

Tharon Eugene Campbell, 80, of La Barge, Wyoming passed from this life on November 28, 2024. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Krestridge Funeral Home from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, December 6, 2024, in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Tharon was born on December 8,1943 in Littlefield to Wilson and Helen Campbell. He attended school in both Ropesville and Levelland. Tharon worked for the highway department before getting into the oil and gas industry where he eventually worked for ExxonMobil until his retirement. Tharon lived in Ropesville, Levelland, Whiteface and Knox City before his work with ExxonMobil took him to Wyoming, where he lived until his passing.

He married Brenda Louise Allen in 1967 and had one daughter, Laura. They were later divorced. Tharon married Danna Roberts Gerik on July 14,1988, this marriage brought two step-sons, Josh and Kyle Gerik. They divorced in 2003.

Since retirement, Tharon enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends in Texas, Tennessee and Wyoming. Spending time with family was a great joy to him as were his beloved dogs and companions, Ruger and Rebel. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Helen Campbell and sister, Rita Campbell.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his daughter, Laura Campbell Tyler and husband, Laudie; stepsons, Josh Gerik and wife, Jorie and Kyle Gerik; sister, Sharon Schulz and husband, Monroe; grandchildren, Sullie Gerik, Corbin Gerik, Hudson Gerik, Griffen Gerik and Ellis Gerik; along with his nieces and nephews; Mike McCann, Michele and Gary Bennet, Tami and Michael Stefanatos, Mika McCann, Kasey McCann, Keith Bennet, Kerry Bennet and Anastasia Stefanatos.
