Sylvia Cavazos

Sylvia Esther Cavazos, 41, of Smyer passed from this life on March 25, 2021.  Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 pm on Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church with the Recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in the Smyer Cemetery.

She was born February 21, 1980 in Lubbock to Deacon Juan Jose and Martha Alicia Cavazos.  Sylvia loved to coach Little Dribblers Basketball and Little League Baseball.

Sylvia enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She also helped with CCE at St. Michael’s.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Alicia Cavazos; and grandfathers, Francisco Cavazos, Sr. and Leno Moreno, Sr.

Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Ava and Aubrii Soto; father, Deacon Juan Cavazos; brother, Juan Eric Cavazos and wife Victoria; sister, Renee Merry and husband Alan; and nieces and nephews, Hayden, Hanley and Micah Cavazos, and Talon, Colton and Mila Merry.
