Susan Kay Sprowls

A life beautifully lived, filled with love, compassion, and countless memories, came to a peaceful end on March 2, 2024. Susan Kay White, born to J.D. White and Alta Inez (Renner) White, brought warmth and joy to the world from the very start.

Educated in the close-knit communities of Seymour and Pampa, Susan embarked on a journey of knowledge that extended to West Texas State University, leaving an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross paths with this gentle soul with a quick wit.

Marriage to Larry D. Sprowls brought immense happiness, and the details of this union tell a tale of love written in the quiet and adventurous moments they shared. Her devotion and love for Larry defined the essence of partnership and commitment that extended from running Headquarters, a family barber business, to raising a family.

Once the kids were grown, Susan took on a new challenge by serving as the director at the Hockley Senior Citizens Center where she spent countless hours creating an atmosphere of warmth, camaraderie, and security for the citizens they served.

Known for her kindness, resilience, and an unwavering sense of integrity, Susan was a beacon of light in the lives of those fortunate enough to know her. Her lovely smile and generous nature left an indelible mark on the hearts of many.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Larry Sprowls, and is survived by her children Tiffany Glover (Tracy), Tammy Glover, Matt Sprowls, grandchildren, Chelsea McCutchen (Jay), Kennedy McLeod, and two great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 3:00pm in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.

 In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hockley Senior Citizens Center.
