Soula Lee

Soula Lee of Sundown, Texas passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on January 6, 2019, at the age of 88, while at home in Sundown. A memorial service will be at the First Baptist Church in Sundown, Texas at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 10, 2019, with Randy Winfrey officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday night, January 9, 2019, from 6 to 8 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home.

Soula was born in Borger, Texas on December 22, 1930, and moved with her parents to West Plains, Missouri, where she later graduated from high school. For a brief period of one year, the family moved to Sundown, Texas where she met and fell in love with Glynn Lee who became her husband a year later.

Soula was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Glynn Lee, her son, Jon Lee, parents, Orphus and Belle Goodwin, sisters, Pat Beasley and Della Smith. She is survived by daughter, Patti Lee of Cape Town, South Africa, and son, Steve Lee of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren Melissa Garza of Sundown, Texas, Eric Lee of Lubbock, Texas, Kristy Fred of Reno, Nevada, and Candice Crawford of Weatherford, Texas; great-grandchildren, Kaitlynn Rodriguez, Hunter Stanley, Ryder Stanley, Stella Garza, Braiden Thomas, Jaleigh Fred, Tessa Fred, Kaelynn Fred, and Rhett Crawford.

Soula was active in her church as a counselor to many. She taught numerous Bible Studies in her home, was known for her friendly, outgoing personality, and was ready and willing to help others at any time.

The greatest part of Soula's life was spent loving God, loving people and living out her faith in Jesus Christ on a daily basis. Glynn and Soula traveled throughout parts of Asia, Europe and the United States, ministering with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). She was happiest when she was in the midst of people she could invest into, sharing her living relationship with Jesus.
