Ruby Linda Odell

Ruby Linda (Deere) Odell, 81, passed from this life Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Linda was born August 1, 1940, in Levelland, Texas to Joe Carl Deere and Monty A. (Marshall) Deere. She married Bob Odell November 28, 1957 at Cactus Drive Church of Christ in Levelland. Linda was also a charter member of Cactus Drive Church of Christ.  She was a lifelong resident of Levelland and graduated from Levelland High School in 1958. She retired from LISD in December of 1997, after serving many years as school secretary at South Elementary School and for the Assistant Superintendent of Schools. Linda enjoyed reading, journaling, and working in her yard.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Bob in 2015; daughter, Staci Noles in 2021; granddaughter, Nora Williams in 2016; her parents; sisters, Carrol Allen and Teady Mann; sister-in-law, Lois O’Dell; and in-laws, Robert and Neva O’Dell.

 She is survived by her son, Barry (Meri Lyn) Odell of Canyon, Texas; son-in-law, David Noles of Levelland; grandchildren, Kevin (Diane) Noles of Midland, Kirk (Michaela) Noles of Lubbock, Kelly (Brittney) Noles of Lubbock, Kelsey (Casey) Williams of Amarillo and Derek (McKenzie) Odell of Canyon; great grandchildren, Stevi, Nixon, Pearson, Jeffery, Harvey and Liam; and brother-in-law, Frank O’Dell of Bakersfield, California.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Friday, March 4, 2022, at Cactus Drive Church of Christ.

The family wishes to thank all those at Hickory Place in Levelland, Legacy at Town Square in Amarillo and Kindred Hospice for all the care and love shown to Linda.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts be made to a favorite charity.
