Robert Smith, Jr.

Robert Smith, Jr., a retired pastor, went to be with the Lord on November 18, 2019 surrounded by his beloved wife and family. He was 82. Robert was born February 19, 1937 in Cameron, Texas. He was the son of Robert Smith, Sr. and Juanita Rangel Smith.

Robert was a Baptist pastor of Iglesia Bautista Calvario for over 50 years. He married Esther Salazar in March, 1950.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Smith, Sr. and Juanita Rangel Smith; daughter, Lorie Ann Smith; and brothers, Glenn Smith, Sr., Troy Smith, Sr. and Raddison Smith.

Robert is survived by his wife, Esther Smith; son, Robert Smith III and wife Ruby; daughter, Nancy Ancira and husband Jerry; daughter, Carol Smith; brothers, Gene Smith, Fred Smith and Jimmy Ray Smith; sister, Janie Collings; 3 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, November 22, 2019, at South Plains Church in Levelland. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland.
