Robert Coker

Robert M. Coker, 70, of Ropesville passed from this life on October 16, 2017. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 20, 2017, in the Chapel at Krestridge Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Ropesville Cemetery.

Robert was born July 10, 1947 in Stamford, Texas to Eugene and Floy Coker. He grew up around Stamford and Tuxedo in Jones County. Robert was no stranger to hard work.

Robert married Bonnie Sue Sosebee on April 21, 2000. They blended their two families into one large loving family. He served Hockley County as a Deputy for 24 years until his retirement in 2008.

He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Coker; parents, Dail H. & Floy Sanders; mother-in-law, Bonnie Fleming; sister, Mary Coker; granddaughter, Danielle Graves; and grandson, J.R. Graves.

Robert is survived by his wife, Bonnie Sue Coker; children, Beth Franklin and husband Dan, Becky Coker, Kenneth Suter and wife Rachel, Suzahn Swetish and Floyd Newcomb, Shawn Bain, and Jackie Cantrell and husband Clint; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
