Patsy Sue Foerster

Patsy Sue Foerster, our beloved Mother passed away peacefully to heaven on June 17, 2022.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at West Texas Church at the Barn in Lubbock. Interment will follow in the Sundown Cemetery in Sundown, Texas.

Pat was born June 27, 1936 in Quanah, Texas, the second of three children blessed to Cecil and Ethel Helms.  She grew up in Sundown, Texas and upon graduation from Sundown High School married Roscoe Byron Duckworth.  God blessed them with three healthy and beautiful children, Charles Byron, Susan Lynne and Steven Lee. 

In 1993, Pat married Thomas P. Foerster, M.D. and they enjoyed 28 years together until Tom’s passing in February of 2021.  Pat was a loving, kind, wonderful mother, mother-in-law, grandmother, great grandmother, wife, daughter, sister and friend who loved the Lord and was always willing to lend a helping hand to all those fortunate to know her.  She was an amazing supportive Nana who was dearly loved by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was preceded in passing by her parents and brother, Roy.

Pat leaves behind her two sons, Charlie (Ranee) Duckworth and Steve (Tara) Duckworth; daughter, Susan (Steve) Carper; sister, Delois (Jack) Mackey; grandchildren, Kendra, Autumn, Brent, Rebecca, Elijah, Christian, Zachary and Levi; and great grandchildren, Sienna and Capri.
