Nancy D. Wright

Nancy D. Wright, 77, of Morton passed from this life on September 16, 2023.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 20, 2023, at First Baptist Church in Ropesville.  Interment will follow in the Ropesville Cemetery.

She was born January 25, 1946 in Brownfield to E.D. and Ava Jackson.  Nancy attended Morton Schools.  She was a licensed beautician.  Nancy worked at different salons in Lubbock and owned Mademoiselle Beauty Salon for 5 years.

Nancy attended New Life Ministries in Morton.  Her grandchildren were her biggest enjoyment. She also enjoyed working in her garden.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Shannon Stephens; brothers, Tommy and John Jackson; 4 brothers-in-law; and 3 sisters-in-law.

Nancy is survived by her husband of 48 years, Stephen Wright; son, Brandon Wright; sister, Treva Brownlow and husband Jerry; sisters-in-law, Joan Smith and husband Joe, Lana Jackson, Janice Wright and Lissa Elliott; grandchildren, Logan Wright, Sloan Stephens and Sydney Stephens; and bonus grandson, Jake Fowler.
