Nancy was raised in Dell City, Texas, where she became a member of the Dell City Baptist Church and was baptized by Brother Hollis. After high school, she moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma and Levelland, Texas with husband Keith, where she learned how to drive a semi and drove over the road for several years. She later moved back to Dell City to raise her girls in the town she grew up in. There she worked in the cafeteria at the school and drove a bus. Nancy also worked for Rascoe Farms where she continued to drive a truck until she retired. After the girls graduated high school, Nancy moved to Idaho to be with Doug Weldy, where she resided until his death in 2017. She then moved to Chickasha, Oklahoma to be near her grandchildren, Kendra and Jayde. In 2022, she moved to Sundown to be near her childhood best friend Sharon, where she lived until she passed. Nancy spent the days watching Jayde and Kendra, reminiscing with Sharon, and having Thursday night suppers with the family and friends after golf. Her greatest treasure was spending time with family and watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren play.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Keith Karnes; son, Brian Keith Karnes; life partner, Doug Weldy; sisters, Dora Mae Bullard and Bobbie Hollobaugh; and brother, John Campbell.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Keri Karnes and wife, Tammy Little of Sundown and Frankie Karnes of Sundown; brother, Charles Campbell and wife, Bonnie of Abilene; brother in laws, George Bullard of Gardendale and Coye Karnes and wife Kathie of Levelland; grandchildren, Devin, Victoria, Antonio, Kendra and Jayde and great grandchildren, Lincoln, Parker and Gunner.
