Mike Lopez

Mike Lopez, Jr., of Whitharral, Texas passed from this life on February 8, 2022.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, February 10, 2022, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10:00 am on Friday, February 11, 2022, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland. Burial will follow in Whitharral Cemetery.

Mike worked for Amoco and Altura production companies, as well as Larry Wade Farms. Mike loved BBQing for his family as well as watching his grandkids play sports. He also enjoyed watching his favorite teams, the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the Dallas Cowboys.

He was born April 19, 1954 in Amherst, Texas to Mike and Antonia Lopez.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Rosa; daughters, Melissa (Alex) Cortez of Denton, TX and Veronica (Angel) Hernandez of Whitharral, TX; sons, Michael (Denise) Lopez of Lubbock, TX, Steven (Kim) Lopez , John (Brandi) Lopez all of Plains, TX, and Greg (Eevin) Cirilo of Phoenix, AZ; siblings, Alicia (Johnny) Castillo of Littlefield, TX, Frank Hernandez of Scottsbluff, NE, Benito Sr (Thelma) Lopez of Whitharral, TX, Albert (Christine) Lopez of Midland, TX, Irma (Benny) Barrera, Margie Lopez and Patricia (Jesse) Perez all of Levelland, TX; 11 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
