Michael Caroland

Michael LaRay Caroland, 68, of Levelland passed from this life on February 26, 2021.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 5, 2021, at Second Baptist Church.  Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

He was born September 10, 1952 in Lubbock to Myron and Rose Warren Caroland.  Michael graduated from Iowa Park High School in 1971.  He received his Automotive and Diesel Mechanic degree from South Plains College in 1973.

Michael married Kay White on August 4, 1973 in Lamesa.  He taught at South Plains College for 14 years.  Michael worked as an oilfield mechanic until his retirement.

He was a member of Fifth Street Baptist Church and very active in church activities.

Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Warren Caroland.

He is surivived by his wife, Kay Caroland of Levelland; son, Lance (La Juana) Caroland of Crosbyton; daughters, Jennifer (James) Fortner of Greenwood and Shawna (Jace) Mulloy of Levelland; father, Myron Caroland of Levelland; brothers, Eddie (Kathy) Caroland of Merkel, Ken (Jamie) Caroland of Maryland and Kim Caroland of Austin; grandchildren, Lucas Caroland, Reagan Barrera, Brincent Barrera, Annika Caroland, Farrah Fortner, Brooks Fortner and Brittany Mulloy; and was loved by many nieces and nephews.
