Melvin LaSalle Leaks

Melvin LaSalle Leaks, 59, of Levelland passed away on October 23,2024. Born on June 30,1965 in Petersburg, Texas, he was the son of the late Minnie Mae and Robert Bill Leaks.

Growing up in Levelland, Melvon developed a passion for baseball and fishing, pursuits that filled his life with joy and connection. He cherished the time spent with family, creating memories that will be treasured by those he leaves behind.

Melvin is survived by his daughter, Cierra Leaks and granddaughter Mylah La’Rae, both of Houston. He is also survived by his siblings, Darrell Leaks of Minnesota, Robert Leaks of Levelland, twin sister, Mary Leaks of Levelland, Evelyn Leaks of Lubbock, Elvin Leaks and wife, Melissa of Lubbock, Patrick Leaks of Dallas and Danny Leaks and wife, Andrea of Lubbock. Additionally, he leaves behind two stepchildren, Kelsey Dartez and Desmond Daigle of Houston along with many nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins and numerous friends who will remember him fondly.

Melvin is preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Jeryl, Ricky and Randy Leaks.

A Celebration of Melvin’s life will be held in Levelland, inviting family and friends to gather in remembrance.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, November 2,2024 at Krestridge Funeral Home.

Melvin LaSalle Leaks will be deeply missed but his spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
