Maxine Redman Cook, 98, of Levelland passed from this life on August 1, 2024. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 10,2024 at Krestridge Funeral Home.
Maxine was born October 23, 1925 to Clyde and Ethel Redman. She was born and raised in the Ragtown-Post area and graduated from Morton High School. During World War II she worked in a hangar at the Lubbock Airport on the planes used to tow gliders and also in Clovis, New Mexico on B-29s. She was a true “Rosie the Riveter”.
On April 10,1948 she married Hubert Vinson Cook. They had two sons, Hubert David Cook and Donald Clyde Cook. Maxine was a member of First United Methodist Church in Levelland and Las Fidelis Study Club. She enjoyed china paining, board games, and watching or listening to baseball games.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert, and her son, Don. She is survived by her son David and his wife Penny, her beloved grandson Tower and his wife Tiffany, and countless friends and family.
