Marilyn Dewbre

Marilyn Sue (Barton) Dewbre, 82, of Lubbock passed from this life on February 4, 2022.  Memorial services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, February 12, 2022, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel. There will be a visitation immediately following the service at Krestridge.

She was born April 2, 1939 in Levelland to Thomas Elmer and Rheba Cloteal Boyd Barton.  Marilyn graduated from Levelland High School in 1957, and West Texas State University in 1961.  She began her teaching career in Brownfield.  Marilyn also taught in Morton before teaching art at South Plains College in Levelland.

Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jerry Barton; and husband, James Dewbre.

She is survived by her son, Chris Greener and wife Terri of Levelland; grandson, Tim Greener of Morton; and a multitude of beloved family, grandchildren; great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and dear friends.
