Maria Remedios Plough

Maria Remedios Plough, 90, of Levelland passed from this life on September 22, 2024. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at 10:00 am at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, October 2,2024 at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Levelland.

On August 26 of 1934, Maria Remedios Plough was born in Guanajuato, Mexico to Adrian Alvarez and Maria Lina Albor Calderon. Born in Mexico, Maria came to America and became a citizen. She was a singer who traveled in her younger years. Maria came to the Levelland area where she was an entrepreneur who ran her own restaurants and second-hand stores in the West Texas area. Maria then married the love of her life, Raymond Plough, on March 5, 1994, in Amarillo, Texas. She leaves behind a big, beautiful family who loved her dearly and will miss her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Lina Calderon, her father, Adrian Alvarez, her husband, Raymond Plough, daughter and son, Christina Estrada and Martin Escandon, and her grandchildren, Miquela R. Villarreal and Alonzo C. Estrada.

Maria is survived by her sons, Francisco Escandon and wife, Rosa Escandon, and Ramon Villarreal. She will also be dearly missed by her 17 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
