Lon Ward

Funeral services for Lon W. Ward will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, December 3, 2018, at First United Methodist Church with John Sanders and Les Wilks officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday, December 2, 2018,
at Krestridge Funeral Home.

Mr. Ward passed away November 29, 2018 in Levelland, Texas. He was born March 27, 1931 in Swenson, Texas to Irene (Hoy) and John P. Ward. Lon attended school in Stonewall County, graduating from Aspermont High School.

Lon was a business owner of Farmers Fertilizer and Chemical Company for many years. He managed Anderson Grain and Public Relations for United Cotton Growers. Lon was a longtime resident of Hockley County.
He was a member of 13th and Ave. K Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, JoAnn; siblings, Johnny Theo, James Granville, Preston Hoy, John Phillip, Jr., Clifton Duren, Ouida Nell, Bobby Thomas, and Dudley Ellis.

Lon is survived by his daughter, Jolonna Ward Martin and husband Brian of Levelland; son Cliff Ward and wife Robin of Levelland; sister, Irene Springer of Abilene; grandchildren, Bobby Martin and wife Whitney of Cross Plains,
Staff Sergeant Brent Martin of Fort Hood in Killeen,, Brock Martin of Levelland, Will Ward and wife Stormy of Plainview, and Sara Ward of Lubbock; and great grandchildren, Bryson Ward, Easton Martin and Alexandra Martin.

In lieu of usual remembrances, the family suggests memorials to the Lubbock Children's Home, Alzheimer's Association, or St. Jude Research Hospital.
