Leona Lambright

Leona Janell Lambright, 71, of Levelland passed from this life on May 16, 2021, surrounded by her family.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 21, 2021, at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, May 22, 2021, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

She was born September 26, 1949 in Andrews to Carl and Ruby Goad.  Leona began her teaching career as an aide, but soon became a teacher.  She worked for Levelland ISD and Morton ISD for many years before retiring in May 2010 from Morton.

Leona was a member of Shield of Faith in Lubbock. She was a strong Christian and loved her family very much.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Alicia Goad.

Leona is survived by her husband, Jimmie Lambright of Levelland; sons, Bryce (Amber) Lambright of Lubbock and Jason (Kim) Lambright of San Angelo; grandchildren, Clay York, Samara Lambright, Madison York, Bryton Lambright, Konnor Poole, Sophie Lambright, Sadie Lambright, Kallen Lambright and Briley Lambright; and great granddaughter, Paisley Murray.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made in Leona’s memory to Interim Home/Healthcare Hospice, 727 S. Alamo Road, Levelland, Texas 79336.
