Kenneth Ray Wenzel, 66, of Levelland, Texas, passed away on Friday August 28, 2020. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday September 1, 2020, at College Ave Baptist Church in Levelland, Texas.
He was born January 11, 1954 in Brownfield, Texas to parents Wilburn and Mildred Wenzel.
Kenny worked in the oilfield all of his life and for Haliburton for 38 years of those as a Senior Tools Specialist. He retired from Halliburton in 2014 to open his own business. He never really knew how to not work. His passion outside of his family was drag racing. He had a love for speed and tinkering on his cars. He loved to golf, fish and travel with his friends and family.
Kenny was the hardest worker anyone ever met and he taught his family how to work hard for what you want. He taught all of his family to never quit when things get hard. He was strong in discipline, with a sharp tongue but had the biggest heart; quick to run to the rescue for anyone in need. He loved and lived for his family.
Kenneth met Angelia Wenzel in 1984. They were married a year later on May 13, 1985 in Levelland, Texas. Together they raised 4 children: Nicki McCarter, Crystal Haynie, Christina Nickel, and John Pichla.
He was preceded in death by his parents Wilburn and Mildred Wenzel.
Kenneth is survived by his wife Angie; kids John, Chrissy, Crystal and Nicki; 23 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; brother Jerry Wenzel; and sister Patsy Burns.
He will be forever in our hearts!
