Juanita McMillan

Juanita McMillan, 92, of Levelland passed from this life on December 30, 2017. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at Fifth Street Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Juanita was born November 28, 1925 in Lubbock, Texas to parents Guy and Pearl Lowry. She married Hector L. McMillan in Portales, New Mexico on December 27, 1941. She enjoyed her church, embroidery, quilting, and most of all her family. Juanita was a member of Fifth Street Baptist Church for 74 years and taught Sunday School for many of those years. She was employed at 5th Street Cleaners for 27 years. Juanita was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, as well as sister, aunt and friend to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by parents Guy and Pearl Lowry; husband Hector McMillan; brother James Lowry; grandson Casey McMillan; and great grandson Nicholas Nicholson.

She is survived by one son, Gary McMillan of Odessa and wife Debbie; two daughters, Sharon Humphreys and husband Ronnie of Levelland, and Linda Latham and husband Ted of Levelland; 10 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and multiple great great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Willing Workers Sunday School Class at Fifth Street Baptist Church, 1009 5th Street, Levelland, Texas 79336.
