Juanell Morris

Juanell (Nell) Morris, 91, of Levelland passed from this life on November 24, 2024. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Krestridge Funeral Home from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at First Christian Church of Levelland with her nephew, Terry Fred officiating along with Jesse Hodge and Steven Kappelman. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery. 

A lifetime Hockley County resident, Nell was born on February 25,1933 in Pettit where she attended school. She married Bennie Frey in 1950 and the couple had two daughters, Carolyn and Cheryl. Following her husband's passing she later married Eldon Morris, who also preceded her in death.

Nell was a member of the First Christian Church of Levelland for sixty-eight years. She faithfully attended as much as possible. She enjoyed playing cards at least twice weekly with her group of friends, at church fun gatherings or anywhere she could join a game. Her most enjoyable times were with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis Gibbs and Zelma Mae Fred both of her husbands; daughter, Cheryl Smart; sisters, Jean Lindsey, lvadell Fred, Gaylene Hooper and Evelyn Newton and brothers, Troy, Bobby & Keith Fred.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her daughter, Carolyn Nance and husband, Larry; son, Bill Rogers; along with five grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren.
