Juan Pompa, Jr.

Juan L. Pompa, Jr, 79, of Levelland passed from this life on June 30, 2021.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, July 2, 2021, with the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 3, 2021, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

He was born April 30, 1942 in Ropesville to Juan Pompa, Sr. and Sofia Pompa.  Juan was raised in Levelland and graduated from Levelland High School.  He married the love of his life, Maria (Susie) Ramirez on November 30, 1963.

Juan was a lifetime member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church where he was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 50 years.  He was a generous, selfless and loving husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He was preceded in death by his son, Andrew Pompa; parents, Juan and Sofia Pompa; and brother, Pete Pompa.

Juan is survived by his wife, Maria (Susie); sons, Robert (Mitzi) Pompa of Austin and Mark Pompa of Levelland; daughters, Marianna (Frank) Murillo of Levelland and Susanna (Florentino) Corrales of Levelland; brothers, Adolfo Pompa and Abel Pompa, both of Lubbock; sister, Ana Barrera of Lubbock; grandchildren, April (Jonathan) Sheffield, Dione (Travis) Pompa, Anthony Pompa, Christopher Corrales, Sofia (Nicholas) Pompa, Cassie Jo Corrales, Elizabeth Corrales, Emma Corrales, Dominic Murillo, Melissa Arriaga, Joe Dan Arriaga, Alexis Gavina and Emily Timian; and great grandchildren, Austin Grant, Lillith Johnson-Pompa, Oliver Sheffield, Malachi Gavina, Tobias Gavina, Allegra Gavina, Trace Gavina, Hannah Timian, Brooks Timian, Rosyln Arriaga, Makayla Arriaga, Jada Arriaga, Addi Arriaga, and Joe Dan Arriaga.
