Johnny Timmons

Johnny Timmons, 68, of Morton passed from this life on August 20, 2020.  Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, August 21, 2020, at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, August 22, 2020, at the Morton Cemetery in Morton.

He was born November 27, 1951 at home in Chickasha, Oklahoma.  Johnny came to West Texas in 1969 looking for work.  He met Judy, the love of his life, and they were married on June 4, 1971 in Levelland.  Together they had Lisa, and later twin boys, Jake and Judd.  Johnny and Judy built a life together in the Morton area farming and ranching.

Johnny took great pride in teaching his children to work hard, and loved seeing each of his 10 grandchildren learn to ride horses.  He always said he was a rich man because he had his family.  His Judy, kids and grandkids were his entire world.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Alvin Zielonka; mother, Emma Jean Zielonka; sister, Donna Winkler; brother, Herby Zielonka; and daughter-in-law, Kayla Timmons.

Johnny is survived by his wife, Judy Timmons of Morton; daughter, Lisa Rice and Tommy Smith of Morton; sons, Jake Timmons and Tracy Pemberton of Morton and Judd and Lacy Timmons of Levelland; and grandchildren, Julianna Rice, Stetson Timmons, Rody Timmons, Kensley Rice, Carson Rice, Clayton Timmons, Gavin Rice, Cayden Timmons, Bailey Timmons and Keeley Timmons.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Johnny’s memory to MYR Kids, 3222 Houston Street, Levelland, Texas 79336.
