John B. Warwick

John Buchanan “JB” Warwick, a beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away from this life on June 29, 2023 at home, after a brief battle with cancer, at the age of 81. Visitation will be at Krestridge Funeral Home, 505 Austin St. Levelland, TX 79336, 5:00pm to 7:00pm, with a Rosary at 6:00pm on Sunday, July 2,2023. Funeral services will be at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland, TX, Monday, July 3, 2023 at 10am, with burial to follow at Smyer Cemetery.

John was born March 23, 1942 in Frederick, OK. He graduated from John Marshall High School in 1960 and in 1963 he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he was stationed at Reese Air Force Base in Lubbock, TX. It was here that he met the love of his life, Trinidad “Trine” Hernandez. On June 3, 1967, they were married at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Levelland, TX. They made their home in Smyer, TX in 1971 and he worked as a forklift operator until his retirement with Fleming Foods in 2001.

John is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Trine, daughters Diane (Chico) Munguia of Del Valle, TX, Corina (Billy) Hembree of Anton, TX, Brenda Warwick of Smyer, TX, and Debbie (Michael) Prince of Temple, TX; sister Waltzia Moore and brothers Richard & Billy Willis, all of Oklahoma; 6 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces & nephews.

John was preceded in death by his grandson Ethan Munguia of Del Valle, TX, parents, Anna & Bill Willis, brothers Charlie, Dean, & Rocky Warwick, and sister Mary Katherine Goucher, all of Oklahoma.

John will be deeply missed, but we have comfort in knowing that “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16.
