Jim Steward

Jim Hugh Steward, 84, of Levelland passed from this life on October 5, 2021.  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, November 13, 2021, at Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.

He was born June 18, 1937 in Eldorado, Texas to Can Zadie McAngus Steward and Aaron Gardener Steward.  Jim graduated from Abilene Christian University.  He served our country in the U.S. Army.

Jim managed the ASCS office in Levelland from 1967 to 1996.  He served on the LCEC Board and various others.  Jim was a member of Christ United Methodist Church.

He had many talents, including being a custom knife maker, engraver, soap maker, custom gun maker, and custom leather items.  Jim enjoyed fishing, hunting and reading.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Betty; and daughter, Carla.

He is survived by his brothers, Jack Steward and Bob Steward; grandson, Ellis Steward Brown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
