Jerel McMinn

Jerel Ray McMinn went to be with his heavenly Father on Saturday, April 15, 2017. He fought a long hard battle for 19 years with cancer. Visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at Fairview Baptist Church, 2012 S. FM 303, Levelland, Texas. Burial will follow in the Sundown Cemetery.

Jerel was born October 6, 1942 in Knox City, Texas to parents Thomas Olan and Mildred Meredith (Atkins) McMinn. He married the love of his life, Judy Kleam, on October 9, 1964. Jerel knew that she was the one after their first date.

Jerel was an active member of Fairview Baptist Church and served as the greeter for many years. He worked in the oilfield for many years, and ran his own business, McWat Specialty for many years.

Preceding him in death are his father, mother, step-mother Ora McMinn; step-father Cecil Meredith, brother Olan McMinn, and sister Evelynn McMinn.

Jerel is survived by his loving wife, Judy McMinn of Sundown; son Frank (Dolores) McMinn of Franklin, Tx.; daughters, Janett Herrera of Ruidoso, NM, and Charlotte (Russel) Waters of San Angelo; brother, James McMinn of Brownfield; sister-in-law, Marilyn McMinn of Chattanooga, Tn; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren with 3 on the way; many adopted kids and grandkids; sister-in-laws; brother-in-laws; nephews and nieces.
