Janis Elaine Cox

Janis Elaine Cox was a beloved grandmother, mother and wife.  She brought laughter and happiness to so many in her 83 years of life.  Janis passed away peacefully on the evening of October 22, 2022 at her home in Levelland.  A memorial service in her honor will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Charles Land officiating.

She was born January 20, 1939 in Pettit, Texas to John and Nora Bryant.  Janis was a devout Christian and a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.  She loved the Lord and her family more than anything in this world. 

Janis had six children with the love of her life, William (Wimp) Cox, who passed from this world on November 4, 2020.  She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Melanie; son, Mark; and daughter-in-law, Linda Cox.

She is survived by her sons, Billy Cox of Marble Falls, John Cox, Steven Cox and Benjamin and Shauna Cox, all of Levelland; brother, Dale Cox of Oklahoma; sisters, Merle Taylor of Levelland and Mary Koster of Dover, AR; grandchildren, TJ and Amanda Cox of Marble Falls, Michaela and Juan Espino, Mackenzie Cox, Melanie Cox, Amanda and Tony Chacon and Travis and Meagan Bratton, all of Lubbock, Callie and Sterling Reeves, Caitlynn Cox and Kade Cox, all of Levelland; 13 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.
