Janie Witt

Janie Witt, 81, of Sundown, TX passed away June 3, 2024, in her home in Sundown. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Krestridge Funeral Home. 

Janie was born Maria Juanita Martinez in Mosquero, NM to Benito and Helen Chavez Martinez. She married her husband, Danny Witt on November 17, 1973.Janie was a strong, devoted Christian and is now rejoicing in Heaven with her Lord and Savior. 

She was preceded in death by her parents Benny Martinez and Helen Sandoval, her sisters Sophie Martinez, Catherine Wheeler, Christina Maxwell and Pat Harris, her brothers Benny Martinez and Jose Sandoval and her son Mark Drake. 

She is survived by her devoted husband Danny Witt, her son Michael Drake and his fiancé Emely of Washington, her daughters Kristi Kerzee of Lubbock, TX and Tina Strickland and her husband Jonathan of Sundown, TX and one brother, Nick Martinez of Dallas, TX. She is survived also by her grandchildren Michael Drake Jr and Kirstin Drake of Washington, Connor Kerzee And Grayson Drake of Lubbock, TX and Aerin, Kale and Ryker Strickland of Sundown and two great grandchildren Kinsler and Koda Rodriguez of Sundown.
