Janie Guerra Ledesma

Janie Guerra Ledesma, 66, of Levelland passed from this life on December 3, 2023.  Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 8, 2023, at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church.  Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

She was born December 26, 1956 in Levelland to her loving parents, the late Esteban Guerra and Refugia De Santiago Guerra.

Janie worked for Levelland ISD for 30 years.  Most of those years were spent as a teacher’s aide for kindergarten.  Janie loved to crochet, bake, listen to music, dance, watch football and spend time with her loved ones.

She was a sister to the late Steve (Irma) Guerra, Patricia (Vidal) Hinojosa and Josie (Joe) Trevino.

Janie leaves behind her beloved husband, Santos Ledesma; daughter, Ida (Jackson) Butler; stepdaughters, Samantha Ledesma and Denise (Martin Gaona) Ledesma; stepsons, Christopher (Kristi) Ledesma and Eric Ledesma; nieces, Denise (Michael) Lopez and Eva (Jesse) Perez; nephews, Guadalupe Hinojosa, Matthew Trevino, Anthony (Blythe) Guerra and Andrew (Monica) Guerra; grandchildren, Serenity, Alexis, Michaely, Mariah, Isiah, Romeo, Zack, Eloise, Selena, Hunter, Christian, Adam, Alai and Harley; and several great nieces and one great nephew.
