Jack Sikes

LEVELLAND- Memorial Services for Jack Clayton Sikes will be held at 2 PM, Friday, November 18, 2016 at Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel with Jay Kelley officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-7:30 pm, Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Krestridge Funeral Home

Jack was born February 28, 1927 to P.W. and Mary Nell Sikes in Cisco, Texas. He married Joyce Coleman on December 16, 1978 in Levelland. To this union Jack gained four children, Kathy Robinson, Patti Pearson, Jerry Coleman and Kerry Coleman.

He was a very busy man and loved trying all kinds of businesses including services stations, installing juke box machines, candy machines, cigarette machines and sound systems. His favorite was the One Stop 66. After retiring from One Stop 66, he invested in rent houses, at one time owning 36. Jack loved playing bridge and dominoes. He also enjoyed camping with friends, family reunions and just sightseeing. Jack was a member of the Levelland Primitive Baptist Church serving as a Deacon and song leader. He served as President of Levelland Senior Citizens and led the singing of the weekly sing alongs. He was the greatest auctioneer of all times at the family reunions

Preceding him in death were his parents, sisters Peggy Johnson, Patsy Gregston, Georgie Sikes, and a daughter Patti Pearson.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Joyce; daughter, Kathy Robinson; sons, Jerry Coleman and Kerry Coleman; numerous grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren, sister, Carol Roark; and many nieces and nephews.
