Hollis Shewmake

Hollis Gerald Shewmake, 90, of Levelland passed from this life on November 1, 2020.  Graveside services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 4, 2020, at the City of Levelland Cemetery.

He was born May 16, 1930 in Lynn County, Texas to Robert Elijah and Vera Ouida Duckett Shewmake.  Hollis married the love of his life, Anna Belle Lowe on July 3, 1948.  He was retired from the oil industry and was a fulltime pastor at Bledsoe Baptist Church in Bledsoe, Texas.

Hollis was preceded in death by his parents; and sisters, Dorothy West and Cleda Smallwood.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Belle Shewmake; sons, Hollis Shewmake, Jr. and wife Janelle and Randy Joe Shewmake; grandchildren, Shawn Osmond, Curtis Osmond, Shane Shewmake, Tabitha Zachary, Travis Zachary and Josh Shewmake; and great grandchildren, Thiery Zachary, Theron Zachary, Tanyon Zachary, Olivia Osmond and Jake Osmond.

In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations in Hollis’ memory to The Refuge Church Youth Fund, 4308 58 ^th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79413, as an expression of sympathy.
