Gregory Zapata, Jr.

Gregory Zapata, Jr., 40, of Levelland, Texas, passed from this life on August 12, 2020.  He was born on June 23, 1980 in Lubbock, Texas to Gregory Zapata, Sr. and Elva Guajardo.  Gregory grew up in Morton, Texas where he became known as a funny, loving, solid guy.

Gregory was of the Catholic faith, and liked to live a very simple and private life.  He was always willing to help others when needed.  He was a hard working independent contractor, and was proud of everything he did to provide for his wife and kids.

He was a very loving son, brother, and uncle, but most of all, a loving husband and dad.  Gregory will be missed dearly by many who knew and loved him.

Gregory was preceded in death by his grandparents, Cassimiro and Lenorda Zapata, and Marianna Guajardo.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Jessica Zapata; daughter,  Seren Zapata, son, Gregorio Zapata, III, daughter, Greska-Lou Zapata, son, Jesse Zapata, and son, Devin Zapata; one brother, Brian (Mikey) Zapata; one sister, Sandy Zapata; along with many other relatives and friends that were a part of his life.

A time of reflection and visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 PM, on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary starting at 6:00 PM in the Chapel of Krestridge Funeral Home, 505 Austin Street, Levelland, Texas 79336.  A Prayer Service celebrating his life will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 20, 2020, also held in the Chapel of Krestridge Funeral Home with Deacon Juan Cavazos officiating.  Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery, 1500 Avenue H, Levelland, Texas 79336.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, only a limited number of visitors will be able to enter the faculties at any given time.  The family thanks you for your understanding and cooperation in keeping everyone safe.
