Gerry Kennedy

Gerry Kennedy, 89, of Levelland passed from this life on Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Visitation will be held from 6 - 8 PM on Friday, August 25, 2017, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 PM on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at First Baptist Church of Levelland. Burial will follow in the Morton Memorial Cemetery.

Gerry was born May 19, 1928 in Crosbyton, Texas to parents John and Lydia (Mayo) Bertram. She married John Clinton Kennedy on September 1, 1956 in Lubbock. They were residents of Muleshoe for 26 years; Plainview for 23 years; and Levelland since 2010. Gerry was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church where she served the Lord in the children's and women's ministries and sang in the choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister Marcye Bowen.

Gerry is survived by her husband, Clinton Kennedy of Levelland; daughters, Shannon (Bret) Tarpley of Busan, South Korea, and Abbye (Kevin) Satterwhite of El Paso; grandchildren, Joshua (Alyssa) Satterwhite of Allen, Texas, Jessica (Mike) Van Kleeck of Seoul, South Korea, Lauren Tarpley of Seattle, WA, and Morgan Tarpley of Chicago, IL; and great grandsons, Logan and Mason Satterwhite, and John David Van Kleeck.

The family would like to thank the caregivers at Beehive Assisted Living and Interim Hospice.
