Geralene Strickland

Private graveside services for Geralene Strickland, 92, of Levelland were held on October 6, 2020.  She passed away October 4, 2020 at Carillon House in Lubbock, Texas.

Geralene was born February 12, 1928 in Fluvanna, Texas to L.H. and Myrtle Hogan.   In 1933 the family moved to the Whitharral community.  She married G.S. “Bud” Strickland on February 15, 1947 in Levelland.  Geralene was a housewife and worked for many years at Thomman’s/Armes Jewelry Store in Levelland.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Levelland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bud; her parents; one brother; and three sisters.

Geralene is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, LaQuita and Paul Dinkins of Lubbock; and two step-grandchildren, Jarod (Dana) Dinkins of McLoud, Oklahoma and Lauren (Zack) Marr of Bellingham, Washington.

Geralene’s family would like to express their gratitude for the compassionate care given to her at Carillon House.
