Eleanor Ann Van Zandt

Eleanor Ann Van Zandt,85, of Levelland passed from this life on January 27,2025 in Andrews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, January 31,2025 at Krestridge Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery. 

Eleanor was born May 20,1939 in Yoakum, Texas to H.W. (Mac) and Ann Witte McCelvey. She attended school in Harlingen, Texas before moving to Levelland where she graduated from high school. Eleanor married Joel Don Van Zandt on March 29,1959 in Levelland. She was a long-time resident of Levelland and worked for Bradley Insurance Agency until she retired.

She was preceded in death by her parents, H.W. and Ann McCelvey; husband, Joel Don Van Zandt and step-mother, Polly McCelvey.

Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her son, Perry Van Zandt and wife, Tambrey; daughter, LaShay Van Zandt; grandsons, Justin Van Zandt and wife, Mandy and Brent Van Zandt and wife, Brittany; great grandsons, Jase Van Zandt, Brayden Van Zandt, Easton Van Zandt and Luke Van Zandt; sister, Barbara Spurgeon and Marv Huffaker along with many cherished nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or the charity of one’s choice.
