Doris Kay

Funeral services for Doris Faye Kay will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday,  July 18, 2020,  at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland with Joey Pierce presiding. Visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Friday,  July 17, 2020, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Doris and her family were members of the Church of Christ.

Doris passed away Wednesday July 15, 2020 in Levelland. She was born in Post Texas to Clinton Horace Howell, Sr. and Faye Edna Reno Howell.  She graduated from Union High School in 1958.  Doris married William Wylie Kay Jr. on June 06, 1959.  He passed away February 04, 2018.

Doris was a homemaker as well as worked outside of the home. Doris worked several jobs but found her niche as secretary and selling cotton for farmers at the local gin where she worked for her husband and high school sweetheart Wylie.  She touched many lives with her personality and smile, making all feel loved and enjoying each moment they got to visit.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, William Wylie Kay, Jr.; her parents; and five siblings, Lona Mae Howell, Clinton Horace Howell, Jr., Jerry Alton Howell, Roy Max Howell, Leota Ruth Slaughter.

Doris is survived by three children, Brian Kay (Melanie) of Ocean Springs, MS, Alan Kay of Lubbock, and Shelly Kay of Levelland; one sibling, Jimmy Glenn Howell;  two grandchildren, Jenna Kay Drennen (Jamie) of Biloxi and Kyla Kay Saucier (Tommy) Biloxi; and three great grandchildren, Rose Theriot Drennen, Knox Louis Saucier and Sonny Jean Saucier.
