Donald Lee Scarborough

Donald Lee Scarborough, 86, of Whiteface passed from this life on February 8,2025. Visitation will be held from 5:00- 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 11,2025 at Krestridge Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 12,2025 in the Whiteface Cemetery.

Don was born October 3,1938 in Levelland to Elvie Lloyd and Etta Pearl Gressett Scarborough. He spent his youth growing up in Oakland, California. He married Betty Lou Hopkins on July 5,1959 in Durant, Oklahoma. He worked as a truck driver and farmer for several years before retiring as a maintenance foreman for Whiteface CISD in 2001. Don loved to build bird houses, tinkering with trucks, camping and his poodle, Finley

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvie and Etta Scarborough; brother, Travis Scarborough and grandsons, Jerry Wayne Taylor and Kurt Allen Taylor.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Betty Scarborough; daughters, Belinda Terrell and Lisa Lummus and husband, Larry; granddaughters, Jessica Boggs and husband, Andy and Nikki Slattery and husband, Tom; along with his great-grandchildren, Cooper, Kallen, Kasyn, Lily, Brooke, Paden and wife, Trista, Noah and Barrington.
