Dee Ann Jackson

Dee Ann Jackson, 86, of Levelland passed away on December 10, 2024, peacefully at home surrounded by family. She is now reunited with her beloved husband, Randy. Dee Ann was a strong-willed, and quick witted who was always ready to provide a helping hand, guidance and support.

Dee Ann was a loving mother and wife. She met the love of her life, Randy Jackson, when they both were working at the Lubbock National Bank in Lubbock, Tx. They were married on September 20, 1958, and in 1965, they made their home in Levelland, Tx. Together they had four children that they adored, loved and cherished including Johnny Wade Jackson of Carrollton, Tx, Marilyn (Mernie) Jackson Winter (husband Richard) of Chester, MD, Valerie Jackson Weilert (husband Steve) of Abilene, Tx and Nicole Jackson Eslinger (husband Britt) of Floresville, TX. She also has 8 grandchildren, Falon Eslinger, Kegan Eslinger, Randall Winter Dick, Alexandra Winter, London Weilert, Sterling Weilert, Spencer Weilert and Presley Weilert, as well as 5 great grandchildren. Dee Ann is preceded in death by her husband Randy, her parents John and Grace Abbe, siblings Betty Anglin, Alton Abbe, and Novella Laffoon. She is survived by all of her children, and sisters Dorothy Adams of Abernathy, Tx and Bonita Hestand of Lake Dallas, Tx along with many nieces and nephews.

Dee Ann graduated from New Deal High School. She attended Texas Tech University and South Plains College where she focused on classes to obtain her Real Estate Broker and Appraisal licenses. While her children were small, Dee Ann was a homemaker and in 1978 began her 28-year career as a Real Estate Broker. She was also an active member in her community as a youth basketball coach and a 50+ year member of the First Christian Church where she was the organist for several years. She also was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi sorority for 50+ years where she participated in many charitable and community service activities. Dee Ann was an avid and competitive tennis player and enjoyed playing in USTA and Highway 80 tournaments across the state in her younger days. Many of her competitors would agree that she had a wicked one-handed backhand. Tennis and basketball were activities she enjoyed playing with her husband and children. She especially enjoyed attending all of her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting and other events throughout the years. After retiring from real estate, she enjoyed gardening and took pride in maintaining a beautiful yard.

Services are pending. If you wish to donate on her behalf, the family has asked that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made to one of her favorite charities including St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Shriners Children’s Hospital, Tunnel to Tower and Wounded Warrior.

Services with integrity, honor, and pride are under the direction of Krestridge Funeral Home, (806)897- 1111
