Deanie Wood

Deanie Wood, 96, of Smyer passed from this life on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, peacefully at home surrounded by family. Funeral services will be 1:00pm Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Smyer First Baptist Church, with Gary Goff officiating. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

Deanie was born June 1, 1925 in Dickens County to Walter and Belle Elkins. She enjoyed sewing, painting, and working in her beauty shop.  She greatly enjoyed spending time with family. Deanie was a member of the Church of Christ in Smyer

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Oddis Lee Berry and Douglas Wood; son, Jim Berry; grandsons, Stephen Berry and Nick Hanks; brothers, Jake and Richard Elkins; and sister, Wanda Wood

Deanie is survived by sons, Brent Berry, Ronnie Berry and Lynn Berry; daughter, Gail Berry Andrews; and multiple grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
