David Golightly, Jr.

David Norris Golightly, Jr., 65, of Levelland passed away at his home on Monday, May 1, 2017. Visitation will be held from 5 - 7 PM on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Friday, May 5, 2017, at Austin Street Church of Christ. Burial will follow at the City of Levelland Cemetery.

David was born February 13, 1952 in Clarksville, Texas to parents, David Golightly Sr. and Vera Moore. He graduated from South Plains College. David married Jacqueline Green on February 13, 1988 in Levelland.

David served our country in the United States Army and worked for the Lubbock County Sheriff's Office until retirement.

He is preceded in death by his father, David Golightly, Sr. and his sister, Priscilla Nix.

David is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Golightly; mother, Vera Moore; brothers, C.J. Golightly, Alfred Golightly, Samueal Golightly, and Dale Golightly; sisters, Linda Golightly, Kay Golightly, and Dorothy Jean Golightly; children, Brandon Taylor, Bryan Taylor, Brittany Golightly, Erika Palmer, Darlyn Davis, and Bryce Golightly; 7 grandchildren; and 1 great grandchild.
