Cynthia Carey

Cindi Ann (Miller) Carey passed away peacefully in Lubbock on August 7. 2021 at 61 years of age.  She was born November 29, 1959 to Maynard and Viola (Demel) Miller, who precede her in death as does sister, Shirley Miller Vaughan.

Cindi was a loving wife to her husband, John Carey and a loving mother to her step-daughter, Chyla and son, Dylan.  She was blessed with four beautiful grandchildren.  Her legacy and love live on in the lives of Chyla and Allison Carey, and their sons, Grayson and Bryson; and with Dylan and Megan Carey and their sons, Levi and Logan. She is also survived by her brothers, Danny and Kenneth Miller; and sister, Loretta Miller Bryant.

Her greatest joy was to cook delicious food for her family and friends.  She always had a ready smile and hugs for everyone around her.  Cindi was a great listener and loved conversation.  Her laugh was contagious as was her zeal for life.  Cindi was a dedicated and devoted mother and wife.

The Recitation of the Rosary will be read at 6:00 pm on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at Krestridge Funeral Home in Levelland.  Graveside services will be at 10:00 am on Monday, August 16, 2021, in the City of Levelland Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials in Cindi’s name be made to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, the National Kidney Foundation, or a charity of your choice.
