Consuelo Catano Martinez

Consuelo Catano Martinez, 83, of Plains passed from this life on December 17, 2022.  Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at Krestridge Funeral Home with the Rosary being held at 6:00 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at St. Ann Catholic Church in Morton.  Interment will follow in the Morton Cemetery.

She was born June 2, 1939 in San Juan Chihuahua, Mexico to Magdaleno and Manuela Catano.  Consuelo married Alfredo Martinez on November 30, 1959 in Pep, Texas.

Consuelo was preceded in death by her parents, Magdaleno and Manuela Catano; grandson, Robert Zapata; and sisters, Elfa Olgin and Eva Catano.

She is survived by her husband, Alfred Martinez, Sr.; sons, Alfred (Sylvia) Martinez, Jr. of Plains and Max (Rynnea) Martinez of Plains; daughter, Elsie Zapata (Roy) of Morton; brothers, Ruben Catano of Odessa, Manuel Catano of Midland, Israel Catano of Amarillo, Graciel Catano of Plainview and Refugio Catano of Dimmit; sister, Norma Catano of Austin; 7 grandchildren; and 20 great grandchildren.
