Clifford "Boogie" Armes

Clifford “Boogie” Armes, 75, of Levelland passed from this life on December 21, 2024. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2024, at Krestridge Funeral Home from 2:00 to 4:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 30, 2024, at Krestridge Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the City of Levelland Cemetery. 

Boogie was born March 10,1949 in Brownfield to Clifford Paul and Mildred Joyce Purdy Armes. He grew up in Levelland and graduated from Levelland High School. Boogie married his high school sweetheart, Vikki Newman on January 31,1970 in Levelland. He proudly served his country in the United States Army in Korea and Germany for six years, with first child being born in Germany. Boogie spent forty plus years in the oil and gas industry. He came to know Jesus in 1981 and was a founding member of the House of Prayer Ministries. Boogie taught bible studies and baptized many in Jesus’s name. In retirement, he enjoyed golfing with his son and grandson and spending time with family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Mozella Armes and Jack and Joyce Williams; his in-laws, Marvin and Anna Newman; children, Kimber Armes and Clifford Lane Armes; siblings, Joe Williams, Becky Mathews, Linda Hensley and brother in-law, Don Caldwell.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory include his wife, Vikki Newman Armes; children, Shelli Armes and Linc Armes; grandchildren, Nathan, Seth, Anna, Abbi, Marlee, Emma and Maci; great grandchildren, Trey and Kyler; siblings, Bobby Williams, Morris Armes, Cindy Williams; brother-in-law, Steve Newman (Billie); sister-in-law, Terri Caldwell; along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends that will miss him dearly.
