Chestene Sharbutt

Chestene Sharbutt, 94, of Ropesville passed from his life on April 18, 2022.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, April 23, 2022, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Terry County Memorial Cemetery in Brownfield.

She was born February 23, 1928 in Mount Pleasant to Samuel and Avie Stroud.  Chestene was a member of Second Baptist Church Levelland.

Chestene was preceded in death by daughters, Joy Ann Harris and Betty Ann Moore; and husbands, John M. Bownlee and Cecil Sharbutt.

She is survived by daughters, Pat Johnson and husband Gene of Plains and Faye Jonas of Ropesville; 14 grandchildren; 30 great grandchildren; and 14 great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers that family suggests memorials be made to the City of Levelland Animal Shelter.
