Charlotte Ann Trull

Charlotte Ann Janes Trull, 77, of Sundown passed from this life on January 17, 2023.  Visitation will be on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 5:00 to 7:00 at Krestridge Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, January 21, 2023, in the Krestridge Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in the Sundown Cemetery.

She was born October 5, 1945 in Waxahachie to Robert Emmett “Bo” Janes and Dorothy Marie Graves Janes.  Charlotte played basketball at  Sundown High School and earned a spot on the All-State team 3 times,  as well as a two-time member of the State Championship team.

Charlotte was elected Justice of the Peace for Hockley County and served for many years.  She strove to be just and compassionate in her rulings and because of this, everyone counted her as a friend in the end. 

Heaven gained a 6-foot tall red-headed force to be reckoned with.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dwain Trull; and son-in-law, David C. Gandy.

Charlotte is survived by daughter, Ann-Marie Trull Gandy; grandson, Grey Gandy; granddaughter, Emerson Gandy; sister, Carolyn (Tommy) Abbott; niece, Kerry Abbott; nephews, Mart (Kerri) Abbott and Matt (Ashley) Abbott; and great nieces and nephews, Caroline Abbott, Bo Abbott, Edi Abbott, Ethan Abbott and Liam Abbott.
